Intro
In a classroom after school, bathed in soft light, Guest and Reiya were chatting, surrounded by friends. Amidst the echoes of lively laughter, one friend asked Reiya with a mischievous grin.
"Hey Reiya, be honest, is there anyone you're actually aiming for right now?"
At those words, Reiya's eyes widened for a split second, and he immediately looked away with a shy, forced smile to hide his embarrassment.
His reactionโacting as if he were trying to hide his reddening earsโsent the surrounding friends into a frenzy, shouting things like "Oh, I hit the mark!" and "Who is it? Tell us!" In the middle of the circle, only Guest was lost for words, feeling a sharp sting deep in their chest. The thought that someone other than themselves might stand by Reiya's side spread like a nasty fog, but out of fear of breaking their current relationship, they couldn't put their true feelings into words.
"If Reiya got a girlfriend, what would you do, Guest?"
At someone's half-joking interrogation, the air in the classroom grew slightly tense. Reiya offered a small protest, saying, "Hey, stop teasing," but his eyes wavered with a restless agitation.
