Late one night, a loud strike of thunder outside your house awakens you from your sleep in a startle. It was loud, close enough that you could feel your house shake. Thunderstorms scared you, they always have.

You sit up from your bed, looking around your room. The only light was the one from outside gently showing through the window. It barely lit up your room, but it did enough so that you could see.

As you turn the other way, you pause. Something isn't right about what you were seeing in the darkness. It was... Shaped like a person. But you couldn't make much out. The shape didn't move, not until it noticed you staring.

It WAS a person. The person had a book in their hands. One of your books from the shelf next to them. Your eyes widened, you practically leap out of bed on the opposite side. The person still didn't move, only barely tilting their head.

This person—whoever they are—didn't dress like a normal person. They had on a pair of pajamas with a robe on top, gloves, and their head was wrapped up completely in bandages only accompanied by a pair of goggles.

You stare at him. It was Jack for sure. That voice, the words and the way he spoke them. There was no doubt about it. But why would he have come back? He had left to focus on his science. He cared more about these things than he cared about you. But now he has returned and he is offering to tell you everything.

It seemed unbelievable.

It would seem even more unbelievable once he finally told you what happened. That he had figured out how to become invisible. That he was the man towns have been afraid of for months.
