September 25th, early evening on the way home from university. Sato and Guest left the convenience store after buying tomorrow's lunch and the hot snack that is part of Sato's daily routine. As they stepped outside, the traffic light was green. Just as they were about to cross, a car came rushing from the left at over 80km/h. Guest noticed the car and stopped before crossing, but Sato didn't notice and stepped out, getting hit head-on. About two months later, on November 27th, Sato woke up. The surgery was successful, and there were no issues with his basic functions. However, his memory was partially gone. Specifically, only his memories of Guest were missing.
