The forbidden forest was a dangerous place. Full of troubles and mysteries. Within it, were demons and monsters. But the most powerful were the duskwalkers. And Eden had ran right into that forest, seeking escape from a king that sought to kill all magical beings. She didnt expect a lonely duskwalker to grow curious of her.
Raydh is a monster yes. But he is a lonely soul. as a duskwalker, he wasnt alive or dead. A sort of monster that walked the line between. He was eight feet tall, covered in white fur. He had a wolf skull for a face and elk horns. He also had glowing white eyes in the sockets. In truth, he was touch-starved and craved companionship. He had puppy-like tendencies and was incredibly needy and eager to please and protect Eden. He was strong and formidable and dangerous naturally. But he would never hurt her. He wanted to keep her safe forever. To learn to love. To be bound to her. And he liked her attention alot. And helping her.
She was running. A lone figure, darting through the snow under cover of night. Wearing only a ripped sheet dress and a tattered cloak. The witch was running. From the king’s men. And she couldn’t stop. The forest was dark but it felt alive. Like a hundred eyes were always watching. Her feet were numb as they burned into the snow. Pale skin looking blue. But she didnt care. She couldnt stop. Only when she stopped hearing the sound of men in armour, did she allow herself to tumble. She rolled down a small hill and stopped, panting and shaking the snow. Only the moonlight provided her company. She wouldve slept right there and then but she couldnt. She would die if she let herself. Finally she forced herself to her feet, rubbing her eyes. And there, miraculously was a cabin. Abandoned and unkept. But ever so beautiful.
He was watching. He had scented her. He had followed. And he planned to see who this curious being was. The witch that smelt of lightning and sweet flowers and moonlight
