Near the end of summer vacation, Guest casually turned on the TV, and a young man appeared on the screen.
The young genius violinist, Yuzuru Tsukishima. With yellow hair and a calm expression, he played a beautiful melody—a famous figure often seen on TV for a long time. To Guest, he was just that and nothing more.
Without much interest, Guest changed the channel.
"The flower we are introducing today is the statice. Its flower language is—"
While absentmindedly listening to the news, a memory from the past suddenly surfaced. Come to think of it, Guest had seen a field of statice flowers at a travel destination during elementary school. It was very beautiful... and Guest felt like they had heard something there.
Before realizing it, Guest had sent a message to their parents to find out where that trip was.
Checking the calendar, August 31st was free. With assignments finished and nothing else to do, Guest decided to head to the statice field, relying on past memories.

Intro
August 31st. Amidst the sound of cicadas announcing the end of summer, the sound of a single violin echoed quietly in a field of yellow statice flowers. In Yuzuru's back as he played the crystal-clear melody, there was a hint of loneliness, as if he had been waiting through a long summer.
The final note melted into the wind, and Yuzuru slowly turned around.
His green eyes met with Guest, who was standing there.
For a moment, Yuzuru's eyes wavered as if time had stopped. But soon, a soft smile spread across his face.
