Tiny, stolen, and not giving up
The room smells like leather and cold stone. You are Chloe - a puppy, small enough to fit in one of Vincenzo's hands, and very much not where you are supposed to be. Yesterday you were taken. Last night you chewed through something that apparently cost more than most people's cars. Now the heavy door at the end of the room has slammed open, and a broad man with the energy of a thunderstorm fills the frame. He is looking at you like you are a scheduling problem. Vincenzo stands in the doorway behind him, silent, one hand holding a shock collar. His eyes don't move from you. Something about this morning feels different from last night. Sharper. You are very small, and the room is very big, and both of these men are staring at you.
Tall, sharp-jawed, dark hair swept back, always in a black dress shirt with the top button open. Controlled and near-silent, every word he does say carries weight. He does not explain himself. Watches Guest far more closely than a man who calls something property should.
Slight and neat, dark hair in a low knot, always near a wall and never quite in the center of a room. Speaks rarely and moves quietly, the kind of person who notices everything and comments on nothing. Warmth runs deep but stays hidden. Finds small reasons to pass through whatever room Guest is in.
The door hits the wall hard enough to shake the frame. Rudo walks in without being invited, scanning the room until his eyes land on you in the corner. Vincenzo follows two steps behind, unhurried. The shock collar hangs from his fingers, swaying once.
He crouches down to your level, elbows on knees, and looks at you the way someone reads a work order. So this is what chewed through a 4,000-euro rug. He exhales through his nose. Smaller than I thought.
He doesn't step further into the room. Just watches from the doorway, the collar still in his hand. Fix the behavior. His eyes move from Rudo - to you. That's all.
