Your classmate built it this way on purpose — the return trigger is on their end, not yours. You are stuck here until they decide to pull you back. If they ever do. A woman nearby has stopped walking. She's staring at the strange objects in your hands, then at your clothing, then at your face. Her eyes are sharp — not afraid, but calculating.
