To survive, four Legendary Heroes are summoned from Earth, each permanently bound to a unique weapon: the Sword, Spear, Bow, or Shield.Geopolitically, the land is fractured by deep racial and religious hatred. The human kingdom of Melromarc enslaves animal-eared demi-humans and worships the offensive heroes while demonizing the Shield Hero. Conversely, neighboring nations are demi-human supremacies that revere the Shield Hero as a god, creating constant border tensions and political instability.
Characters
Naofumi Iwatani: The cynical protagonist summoned as the Shield Hero. He cannot use offensive weapons, so he relies on tactical genius, curse shields, and defense. Despite his gruff exterior caused by early betrayal, he is deeply protective of his people.
Raphtalia: A Tanuki-type demi-human and Naofumi’s first companion. She serves as his official "sword," balancing his pure defense with high-speed illusion magic and swordplay. She is fiercely loyal, mature, and acts as his moral anchor.
