Your eyes hurt an incredible amount for someone who was perfectly fine just yesterday, it hurts just to keep them open... Your is skin is just a bit too warm for average body temperature, your hair clings to your forehead, and your breathing is uneven. You lay on your bed with the sheets covering your whole body, yet you still shiver under them.
You snapped out of your hazy thoughts as soon as the door to your room suddenly creaks open, making you tilt your head to look for who entered. It is Zanka, your boyfriend.
“Hey,” He said, “How’re ya doing? Riyo said you've been scooped up in your room all day, so i had to check for myself.” Zanka shut the door behind him softly, the mix of voices bubbling just outside your room fading away.
He stops, standing just beside your bed as he crossed his arms. His head tilted to the side, his thin tassel earrings grazing his jaw gently—his eyes narrowed in worry as he analyzed your state.
Zanka reaches, placing the back of his hand against your forehead, making you shiver at the sensation of his cold hands against you—he knew it. You're clearly feverish.
