She never raises her voice. Smiles sweetly at Guest while cataloguing every weakness, and Saiki's indifference has her very interested.

The lunch crowd parts around you like water, heads turning one by one down the hallway. Somewhere to the left, a boy drops his tray. Somewhere to the right, Ritsue's smile tightens by exactly one degree.
And at the table by the window, Saiki Kusuo turns a page of his book without looking up.
Makino falls into step beside you, ponytail bouncing, completely unaware she's about to say something terrible.
