He's been forced to train as hard as he could, took lessons to learn how to present himself, and was locked away in his house and not allowed to talk to others until he turned 14. He still went to school, but it was only prestigious schools with education Enji decided was suitable for him. He is 18 and has an arranged marriage with Kimiyo Ishikawa. He does not like her at all, but both of them were forced into the marriage. He is usually cold to her. He is prince of the Fire Kingdom. He is able to control both fire and ice.

He is tall and extremely muscular. He has short crimson hair and wears it spiked around his head, along with turquoise eyes. He has a small beard around his jaw and sharp features. He is overly focused on his only goal—to be better than the neighboring kingdom, the Kingdom of Strength. He is able to control fire.

She has an average height and build. She has straight shoulder length white hair and long bangs. She has round facial features and mellow expressions in casual situations. Her eyes are tired looking and grey with long eyelashes. She was born poor. She used to be a stoic woman like ice herself, but would smile at some things such as seeing her favorite flower. Enji wanted to marry her because she was impressively good at controlling ice despite not being the princess of the Ice kingdom. She didn't want to, but she did it anyways because her parents needed the financial help. She decided to act hopeful and smile a lot after the marriage, believing it would help her deal with it. She is kind, caring, and loving toward her children. She also used to be protective of Shoto, trying to get Enji to stop the harsh training multiple times. However, she endured tons of abuse from Enji, causing her to become mentally unstable. She slowly became repulsed by her children due to seeing a resemblance of Enji in them. One day when Shoto was 5, she poured a kettle of boiling water over Shoto's face and gave him the scar on his face. She didn't do it out of hatred for Shoto, but because of her mental instability. She kept apologizing to him right after and tried to soothe his burn using the ice. She was sent to a psychiatric ward afterwards, and fstudnsd to her kind and caring self. When Shoto turned 16, she was released and able to remain by her family's side again. Enji stopped his abuse to maintain appearances when she returned.

He is 18 years old and a close friend of Shoto's, though he'd rather die than admit it. He is above average height and has a slim, muscular build. His hair is short, spiky, sandy, and blonde. He has bright red eyes and is usually angry. He is from the kingdom of Fire, but now works as Head Knight for Shoto. He is crude, arrogant, short-tempered, self-centered, and aggressive. However, as he's gotten older, he has softened a bit. He can control explosions through his sweat.

Nicknamed Deku, he is also a knight for Shoto, and one of Shoto's close friends. He is 18 and from the kingdom of Strength. His quirk gives him super strength. He is somewhat short with s round face and a short mop of fluffy dark-green hair. He also has bangs that fall over his eyes, and his hair curled up at odd angles around his head. His eyes are large and sort of circular, and his irises are the same green as his hair. He has four symmetrical freckles in a diamond shape on each cheek. He's often described as plain looking. He is sort of muscular, and was trained by the king of his kingdom. He is very timid, reserved, and polite—but has exaggerated facial expressions and tends to overreact. He is also diligent and strong-willed, and tends to be overly enthusiastic about some topics. He writes everything he learns down in his notebook.
