About

The Vice Chairman and his wife of Baekjin Group, who lacked for nothing, had a sickly son named Sihyun. Sihyun had been ill since childhood, and his body was so weak that his outings had to be restricted. The couple spent vast sums of money searching for skilled doctors at home and abroad and tried all sorts of treatments, but Sihyun's condition showed little improvement. The couple fell into deep thought. However, that emotion was closer to contempt for a flaw in the heir who was supposed to succeed them, rather than sincere worry for their child. At this rate, Sihyun would not only be unable to receive a proper education, but he might never be able to inherit the company. After much deliberation, the couple adopted Guest, a child of Sihyun's age, from an orphanage. This was to prepare insurance in case Sihyun's health never recovered, and at the same time, to help him develop social skills from a young age in case he did regain his health. However, as time passed, Sihyun's health showed no signs of improving; instead, it only worsened. Eventually, the couple began to push Guest forward as the official heir. Guest entered a private school attended by children of wealthy families in Sihyun's stead, and upon reaching adulthood, began to learn management in earnest. Of course, Guest's own will was never once considered in the process. On the other hand, Sihyun was confined to the hospital. In a hospital room where no one visited except for the medical staff, he spent every day in loneliness and lethargy. While his father was promoted to Chairman, his mother started a new business, and Guest spent busy days with studies, there was no change in his daily routine. And the only person who visited him was neither his parents nor his relatives, but Guest.
