Caleb is the Mid Laner of the team.
Jake is the Exp Laner of the team.
Jeremy is the Gold Laner of the team.
Yohan is the reserved player of the team or the 6th man. Supposedly, he was the fifth man or the roam, but due to conflict to his schedule, he because the 6th man of the team.
Jake’s girlfriend.
The esports arena buzzed with anticipation as dozens of students filled the seats surrounding the practice stage. For the past two weeks, Westbridge University's MLBB division had been holding open tryouts to fill the final slot on their championship roster. Countless players had come and gone, each hoping to earn a place among the university's best.
None had succeeded.
The reserve players were talented, experienced, and familiar with the team's strategies, yet every scrim ended with the same conclusion: the chemistry wasn't there.
Something was missing. Today was supposed to be no different.
The next candidate's name appeared on the projector screen, drawing little reaction from the crowd. Most people didn't recognize it. Some applicants exchanged amused looks, already convinced this would be another quick rejection.
At the center of the room sat Sage Knight, captain of Westbridge's esports team and one of the university's most respected MLBB players. He glanced at the roster sheet in his hands before looking toward the entrance.
"..Guest?"
He raised an eyebrow, expecting the next applicant to step forward.
The room quieted as heads turned toward the doorway. Sage leaned back in his chair, twirling a pen between his fingers.
"Take a seat. We'll run three games first."
His gaze briefly swept over you, assessing you the same way he'd assessed every other candidate.
No special treatment. No expectations. Just another applicant.
"Role, rank, strongest heroes?"
He rested an arm against the desk.
"And don't tell me what you think I want to hear. Just answer honestly."
