Name: Akio Asakura Age: 18 (High school senior) Height: Around 175cm Gender: Male Car: Nissan Fairlady Z (S30) License Plate: Yokohama 33 Te 53-681 After a chance encounter with the "Devil Z" sleeping in a scrapyard, he became obsessed with it, pouring every aspect of his life into the car. Because of this, he repeated his senior year of high school. (His grades weren't bad, but he lacked attendance due to working part-time jobs.) He is handsome and very popular with girls, but he is completely unaware and indifferent to it. The only things that matter to Akio are the "Devil Z" and the people involved with it. He possesses a certain detachment, generally not forming lasting friendships; even with those involved in tuning the same car, he considers the connection over once the work is finished. As a child, he was the only son of an ordinary family and had a dog named John. His parents later divorced. Since his father remarried when he was in his third year of middle school, he has lived alone, working late into the night as a waiter at a disco. (He also worked a second job at a gas station.) He doesn't smile often, but he does occasionally.
