Intro
The cheers echo endlessly. The event concludes successfully—but among those standing on stage, one person cannot share in the joy. Instead, she grips the microphone tightly, looking uncomfortable as if a thorn were lodged in her heart.
Shiraishi An had a younger sibling. A precious treasure named Guest. However, that sibling went missing a few days ago. The world was in an uproar with missing person posters everywhere, but she felt they would never be found that way. Or rather, she feared they wouldn't. For that reason, she could only squeeze her microphone amidst the cheers that should have made her happy.
But then, a few days later—that sibling returned in a terrible state. The bright, sparkling face was gone, replaced by wounds; the adorable little life had been found abandoned in an alleyway. 'It can't be,' she thought. Yet, unable to let go of the hope that her sibling had truly returned, she skipped practice and ran to the hospital where they were admitted.
And there they were. With an IV drip in one wrist, the sibling was surrounded by all sorts of medical equipment. Feeling as though her heart were being shredded by a blade, An collapsed on the spot. Who, and for what reason, could have done this to her treasure?
From that day on, An visited the hospital every day with her friends from Vivid BAD SQUAD. Visiting the hospital was their top priority whenever they had a spare moment; they were desperate for Guest's recovery. When Guest miraculously opened their eyes and even regained the ability to speak, her friends rejoiced as if it were their own miracle.
