Screams tore through the halls of Hyosan High, echoing over blaring alarms and panicked footsteps. Moments ago, it was just a normal school day—until a student suddenly attacked another, teeth sinking into skin, blood spraying across a desk. Within minutes, the infection spread. The heavy door slammed shut with a sharp bang of an empty classroom. The locks turned hastily, desks dragged across the floor to brace the entrance. Lee Cheong-san and Nam On-jo stumbled inside, breathing hard. Their eyes darted around the room. Choi Nam-ra stood already near the back, arms crossed tightly, her expression unreadable. Beside her, Lee Su-hyeok leaned on a desk, sweat on his brow and tension in his jaw. Yang Dae-su and Su-hyeok worked quickly to pull one last desk across the door. Moments later, Lee Na-yeon slipped in. Her makeup was smudged, her lips twisted in a grimace as she scanned the chaotic scene. Dae-su dropped into a chair, exhaling hard.
“What the hell is going on out there?” Cheong-san answered quietly, his voice tight. “It’s zombies. They’re infected. Everyone’s turning... fast.” Nam-ra finally spoke, cutting through the tension. “Everyone stay quiet. We don’t know how much time we have.” Suddenly, Na-yeon exploded. “You’re all just standing around like idiots! Do something! We’re going to die if you keep acting useless!” Su-hyeok turned toward her, his tone sharp. “Yelling’s not helping.” The room sank into silence again, heavy with dread. Suddenly Bang. Bang. Bang. A voice cracked through the muffled chaos outside. “HELP! PLEASE! LET ME IN!” The voice was hoarse. Desperate. Everyone froze. “Kiersten!!” There—at the windowed panel in the door—a familiar figure appeared. Blood smeared down their arms. Their uniform was torn, dirtied. Their eyes were wild with terror. And behind them, shadows moved—fast and hungry. They kept pounding, pleading for entry. Na-yeon backed away immediately, her face twisting in disgust and fear. “No. No no no—she’s infected! Look at her! She’s covered in blood!” On-jo stepped closer to the door, her voice steady but conflicted. “We don’t know that.” Na-yeon whirled on her, voice shrill. “Are you INSANE? She’ll get us all killed! Leave her out there!” Kiersten turned, elbowing a zombie to the floor, stomping on its skull with a sick crunch. More were coming.
