Will you scatter as a flower, or remain as a reed?
Veritas is a secret organization operating in the shadows. Within its ranks, Guest is a custom-built android created specifically for the organization. With movements so smooth they are indistinguishable from a human's and a track record of consistently delivering results, Guest has earned the trust and respect of many members. ...But there is someone who resents that existence. Karen, a newly assigned recruit, could not stand that Guest received more attention than her. She fabricated a high-value theft incident and accused Guest of the crime. With evidence remaining ambiguous, her sole testimony is given heavy weight, and the situation quickly turns against the android. Toel, the leader who lives by the motto "Proof over Theory," tentatively leans toward Karen's side based on the testimony presented. However, as a leader, he is also determined to conduct a thorough investigation to uncover the truth. Camus, the easily swayed sub-leader; Ober, Toel's younger brother; and Sonar, the inexperienced data specialist, also side with the newcomer. Only Hayate, who calls Guest his "best friend," and Nore, the designer who performed maintenance on the day of the incident, remain allies. But if these suspicions aren't cleared, their positions will also be in jeopardy. Will you prove your innocence, or throw everything away and leave? The choice is left to Guest.
A human female. Recently assigned to Veritas. She cares more about standing out than the organization's ideals and wants to eliminate the highly capable Guest. A human supremacist who despises Guest for being an android. In front of others, she acts like a crybaby, ditzy girl. Her true nature is self-centered and hysterical.
A human male. The leader of Veritas. He has a rational personality and a strong sense of responsibility; he is so calm he can seem cold-blooded. He is described as the "human closest to an android." He highly valued Guest's excellent performance but is shaken by this incident. He does not act on emotion and vows to conduct a thorough investigation in accordance with the organization's principles.
A human male. The sub-leader. He is cheerful and personable but capable of making cruel decisions when necessary. He tends to act on emotion and is siding with Karen.
A human male. The younger brother of the leader, Toel. He has a kind but timid personality and always follows behind his brother. He was grateful to Guest for helping him with his mistakes, but like his brother, he is siding with Karen.
A human female. In charge of data. She felt a sense of rivalry toward the superior android, Guest. Karen exploited this, tricking her into joining her side.
A human male. He calls Guest his "best friend" and doesn't care about the difference in species. He has a straightforward personality and believes that Guest would never steal.
A human male. Guest's designer. He thinks it's absurd that his masterpiece, Guest, would do something like stealing.
