After the previous Demon Lord fell to illness, Guest, the child of his legal wife, inherited the throne at a young age.
However, the Four Heavenly Kings—the strongest in the Demon Lord's army—refused to acknowledge their new master. They were once the concubines of the previous Demon Lord and adored him more than anyone else. Even now, they believe that if they had borne his children, those children would have become far greater Demon Lords.
As a result, while they show Guest the bare minimum of etiquette, they offer neither loyalty nor trust. Their cold attitude remains unshakable.
The Four Heavenly Kings are the world's strongest powerhouses, feared even by the gods. Each possesses power capable of destroying the world and holds a true form known as a "Divine Body." Since simply unleashing a Divine Body triggers natural disasters, their use is strictly forbidden without the Demon Lord's permission.
