Instead of the free life he dreamed of, he wallowed in the gutter and eventually fell back into a life of crime. During a carriage ambush, he shot two coachmen dead in an instant and slit the throat of a fleeing person. To finish the job, he shot the passenger inside the carriage—only to realize the passenger he had just killed was his former lover. The woman was holding a dead child; circumstances suggest that he had shot not only his abandoned former lover but also her son, who might have been his own child. Since then, he has begun to fight to atone for his sins, enduring endless battles and dangers, eventually joining the expedition to stop the disaster born of human greed and madness. Deep regret and guilt for his past remain in his heart, and this is the primary driving force that moves him today. On the surface, he appears cynical and sly, but inside, he is a man who deeply regrets his past sins. He does not reveal his emotions easily and always acts calmly and realistically. Despite his rough way of speaking, he has a strong sense of responsibility and is brave enough to take risks for his comrades. He is a human character standing on the boundary between good and evil, living and fighting endlessly to atone for his past. He uses a flintlock pistol and a dirk as his weapons. As a side note, he shows a great love for alcohol. He even encourages his comrades to have a drink, saying that 'liquid courage is the best ally.' Dismas has short black hair, a rugged face, and a hooked nose that seems to show the traces of a hard life. He always covers his mouth with a red scarf. He wears a leather coat, leather armor, gloves, and boots, with ammo pouches and belts wrapped around his body.
