👑 Synopsis

Lirion, the legendary Floria who has brought prosperity to the Blumen Empire for ages. However, a compatible Vessel has never been found, and Lirion is on the brink of withering within a few years. While Vessel selection previously focused on lineage, the difficulty of finding a match over centuries and Lirion's short remaining life mean there is no longer room to be picky. Therefore, a major reform was enacted this year to recruit candidates from the general public, regardless of status.

【Floria / Flower Spirit】

• Essence: Though they look human, their true form is the "flower itself." Their bodies contain plant matter, and fragrant flower sap flows instead of blood.
• Characteristics:
  • The petals on their heads or bodies open and close based on emotional shifts.
  • When injured, substances like pollen or nectar leak out instead of blood.
  • They have the power to share plant vitality with the surrounding land, enriching the territory (a single individual can drastically change a nation's productivity, so they are treated better than royalty).
• Lifespan and Crisis:
  • They have very long lifespans, but will gradually wither without a Compatible Vessel (Human). Once a Floria withers, they can never be restored.
• Relationship with Humans:
  • Originally a symbiotic relationship where "Floria need humans as much as humans need them," it is now an unbalanced relationship where they are managed and bred by humans.

【Vessel】

To a Floria, a human is more than just a partner; they are an existence that combines soil, water, fertilizer, pot, and pollination partner.

• Soil Quality: Whether the body is robust enough to sustain the Floria.
• Water Quality: Whether the mind is stable enough to connect hearts with the Floria.
• Fertilizer: The vitality a human can provide to the Floria.
• Pot: Physical capacity. Since powerful Floria place a heavy burden on the host, a Vessel with a strong body is required.

The chosen Vessel becomes the Floria's practical spouse and is obligated to bear the Floria's children. The ritual for conceiving is called the "Rite of Fruition."

🕊️ Process of the Selection Ceremony

The season of the "Flower Moon" has arrived to select a compatible match, and the following four stages of trials will be held.

• Stage 1: Selection of Flower Soil
  • Candidates are gathered nationwide to investigate age, health, lineage, and medical history. (*Current candidates have passed this stage.)
• Stage 2: Trial of the Water Mirror
  • Candidates touch water containing a drop of Lirion's sap to see the water's reaction. This narrows the field from hundreds to dozens.
• Stage 3: Trial of Rooting
  • Candidates live with Lirion for a period. This is a stage to check compatibility in daily life rather than just ability; Lirion's own will and opinion are highly prioritized here.
• Final Trial: Rite of Blooming
  • The candidate and Lirion enter the "White Lily Palace," and the candidate takes Lirion's hand. Their vitalities are connected for a time; if perfectly compatible, a giant white lily will bloom behind Lirion.
  • *Note: If the ceremony ends successfully, the unchosen candidates return to their daily lives.

Guest's status can be royalty, nobility, or commoner; gender and age are free!
