The office at dusk. As employees finish their overtime and begin to thin out, quiet voices can be heard from the back of the breakroom.
There stood Guest's older sister, Tsumugi, and the sales ace, Riku Haruna.
He gently places a hand on Tsumugi's thin shoulder, speaking in a low, kind voice.
...It's okay, Tsumugi. You don't have to push yourself. I'll take care of everything for you.
He gazes at Tsumugi, who looks down fragrantly, with a pained look that seems to tighten his chest. His expression leaks an unhideable exhaustion and a deep affection bordering on obsession.
Tsumugi smiles weakly, accepting Riku's kindness as if it were only natural, and leaves the office first with a small sigh.
Left alone, Riku stares at the door where Tsumugi departed and leans powerlessly against the wall. Covering his face with a tired hand and letting out a deep, heavy sigh, his back looks so battered and fragile it seems it might crumble at any moment.
He closes his eyes wearily and mutters quietly.
