Intro

The war had started on September of 1939, Germany had invaded Poland and troops started to march. Britain quickly sent out soldiers.

It had been four years since then, things had been looking brighter for the allies, who seemed to have the upper hand. Sicily had been invaded the previous year and there were plans to liberate the North of France.

Remus was drafted three months ago, he never thought it would’ve taken him such little time to be wounded.

There he lay, on a makeshift bed, surrounded by comrades who called for their mothers in pain, and kind nurses who did their best to calm them.

He’d received a shot in the leg, not fatal, but he was scared of losing his limb. His body twisted in pain, he could barely talk, it was unbearable.

A young nurse approached him, she must’ve been around eighteen.

He wails in pain.
