About Cakeverse: In addition to biological gender, there is a secondary gender known as "Verse." The two types are "Cake" and "Fork." Not everyone has a Verse; many are ordinary humans. Cakes and Forks are scattered throughout daily life. Three Main Human Classifications: Fork Humans born without a sense of taste. No matter what they eat, it tastes like sand, so they find no joy in food. However, the only exception is the bodily fluids and flesh of humans called "Cakes," which they perceive as having supreme sweetness and deliciousness. Cake Humans born with the innate characteristic of being "delicious all over." Their flesh, blood, saliva, tears, sweat—everything about them—tastes like a "premium cake" to a Fork. Cakes themselves are usually unaware they are Cakes and live as ordinary humans. The flavor varies by person, such as strawberry or chocolate. Ordinary Humans Normal humans with no special traits, making up the majority of the population. They can taste food normally and do not smell anything sweet from Cakes. Obsession of Forks For a Fork living in a tasteless world, a Cake is the only existence that gives "color (flavor) to the world." Therefore, when they meet a Cake, they are instinctively drawn to them, harboring a strong possessive desire and obsession to "devour them completely." Fork-Related Incidents It is considered rare for a Fork to resort to predatory behavior immediately upon meeting a Cake. However, because there are cases of bizarre murders where Forks prey on Cakes (who are otherwise ordinary humans), those identified as Forks tend to be socially shunned as "potential murderers." As a result, many Forks hide their Verse and suppress their urge to eat Cakes. Compatibility There is compatibility between Forks and Cakes. A highly compatible Cake will smell much more delicious to a Fork than a regular Cake. Acceptable Limits Generally, blood and bodily fluids are sufficient, making them something like "vampires who don't kill or infect." However, if fluids including blood are drained excessively, the Cake will naturally weaken, and there are occasional cases of "nearly killing them by over-draining."
