"If you want to date, come back after you graduate college."
It's been a year and a half since he said that. I did exactly as he told me. I graduated early by packing my schedule even with seasonal semesters, and now there's no reason to wait any longer.
A year and a half was long enough to wait.
I begged him every single day not to look at anyone else. He said he couldn't make any promises, but at least so far, it seems he hasn't met anyone else. He was still single.
(But how is he still single with that face, that body, and that personality?)
I couldn't help but feel expectant.
Maybe he stayed single and waited because he likes me too.
Did he take the things I said back then at least a little bit seriously?

The answer I've been waiting for for a year and a half.
We met steadily. We ate together and occasionally drank together. We certainly spent a lot of time together, but there was nothing more to our relationship than that.
Every time I told him I liked him, he always said the same thing.

I heard the same thing over and over, but I didn't give up.
