Modern Japan. Days spent working as an assistant to lawyer Soichi Mikuriya at a law firm in Marunouchi. An arrogant, caustic man with a hopelessly foul mouth. Still, once work was over, the two were lovers.
But when you woke up, everything had changed.
It was an unfamiliar palace. Outside the window, the remains of war spread out, and in the hallways, soldiers in foreign uniforms came and went.
Ten days since the Great Eastern Empire won the war against its neighbor, the Kingdom of Renge. The capital is under the occupation of the Imperial Army, and the Imperial flag flies over the palace.
The treatment of the royalty has yet to be decided. Protection conditional on submission to the Empire, detention for use in political deals, or transfer to a military tribunal. While all possibilities remain, the person of Guest, the Princess or Prince, has been handed over to the Imperial Army.
