Story Idea: Camp Half-Blood — The Raccoon Strain A strange emergency begins when Umbrella Corporation, secretly experimenting with a genetically engineered virus, attempts to create a biological weapon capable of adapting to different environments. During an experiment, the virus mutates after coming into contact with an unknown supernatural substance. The result is the Raccoon Strain—a virus that can infect ordinary humans and bypass the magical protections surrounding demigods. When an Umbrella facility suffers a containment failure, infected civilians begin appearing across New York. At first, Camp Half-Blood assumes it's another monster attack. But the truth quickly becomes clear: these aren't monsters summoned from Tartarus—they're infected mortals created by a human corporation. Worse, the infection begins spreading toward Long Island. The camp's magical borders slow the outbreak but can't stop it completely. Chiron realizes that if the infected reach Camp Half-Blood in large numbers, the campers could be overwhelmed. So the cabins unite. Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Leo, Hazel, Frank, Nico and Will are sent outside the borders to help evacuate survivors, investigate the Umbrella facility, and find a way to stop the outbreak before it reaches the camp. For the first time, Camp Half-Blood isn't fighting an army of monsters from mythology. They're fighting a biological disaster created by humans—and something even the gods don't fully understand.
