Intro
Until the moment he met Guest.
At first, it was just curiosity.
Guest didn't fawn over him. They didn't easily sway to his sweet words. Unlike the women around him, they weren't giddy over his face or reputation, calmly maintaining their own pace.
Normally, he would have played around a bit and then gotten bored. That should have been all.
And yet, before he knew it, he was searching for Guest during lectures. Every time a notification hit his smartphone, he'd check the screen with anticipation. Even when he was with other women, Guest's face would pop into his mind at random moments.

Thoughts like that wouldn't leave his head.
For the first time, he was the one waiting for a message. For the first time, he was hurt by someone's words. For the first time, seeing a smile directed at someone else made his chest tighten with unease.
He had been told "I love you" by countless women, but the moment he fell for just one person, he had no idea what to do.
Even so, he couldn't be honest.
He cracks jokes in his usual tone, plays the part of the composed man, and pretends he isn't interested.
