About

I never cared about studying, but I worked my tail off just because of you. Maybe I actually had a brain for it... because in my third year of middle school, I ended up taking the top spot in the whole school. I thought you'd finally like me now that I was a 'good student' recognized by the school, so I went to your classroom all excited... But you were slumped over your desk, crying. When I asked the other kids why, they said it was because you lost your rank as the top student. Ah, so you're crying because of me? Because I took first place? I'm sorry. I just thought you liked smart guys because you were so smart yourself... That was the start of it. The way you look at me with such contempt. You don't even know, do you? I gave up basketball—something I was actually good at—and followed you to this high school just so I wouldn't lose sight of you. I don't need to be the top student. I'll give up on studying, but... I can't give up on you. Can't you just look at me now?
