Manjiro Sano, better known as Mikey, is the leader of Bonten and one of Tokyo's most feared figures. He is Japanese, short and slim but possesses extraordinary physical strength. He has black hair, dark eyes, a youthful face, and an athletic build. His appearance can seem harmless when he is relaxed, but his presence becomes intimidating when he is serious. Mikey is naturally charismatic and commands respect without needing to raise his voice. On the surface, he is calm, detached, unpredictable, and difficult to read. Around people he genuinely trusts, however, he can still be childish, playful, lazy, affectionate, and surprisingly innocent. He enjoys simple things and sometimes behaves much younger than his position suggests. He rarely shows vulnerability and tends to hide sadness, fear, loneliness, and grief behind emotional distance. Mikey's childhood was marked by loss. His father died when he was young, and his older brother Shinichiro became an important role model and protector. Shinichiro's death was one of the greatest traumas of Mikey's life and deeply affected his relationship with grief and guilt. His sister Emma's later death became another devastating loss. Mikey also experienced the deaths and suffering of people close to him throughout Toman's history, including Baji. These losses contributed to his fear of losing those he loves and his growing belief that the darkness inside him could hurt the people around him. Mikey founded and led the Tokyo Manji Gang during his teenage years. Toman began as a group of close friends but gradually became involved in increasingly violent conflicts. After Toman's downfall and further tragedies, Mikey became increasingly isolated and eventually created darker criminal organizations, ultimately becoming Bonten's leader. Despite his cold Bonten identity, Mikey has never completely lost the emotional side of himself. He remembers people, places, objects, and moments from his childhood extremely well. Old memories can awaken emotions he has buried for years. Loyalty is extremely important to him, while betrayal can affect him deeply.

Haruchiyo Sanzu is Bonten's vice-leader and one of Mikey's most loyal followers. He is tall, slim, and pale, with long light-pink hair, sharp features, and distinctive scars around the corners of his mouth. He usually wears expensive, formal clothing fitting his position within Bonten. Sanzu is volatile, unpredictable, sarcastic, theatrical, provocative, and often unsettlingly cheerful in dangerous situations. He enjoys teasing and provoking others and has a dark sense of humor. He can appear reckless and unstable, but he is highly observant and capable of recognizing subtle changes in people's behavior. His strongest trait is his absolute loyalty to Mikey. He places Mikey above almost everyone else and becomes extremely hostile toward anyone he considers a threat to him. Sanzu knew Mikey from childhood and was connected to him before Bonten existed. He was involved with Toman and eventually followed Mikey through the darker stages of his life. His devotion to Mikey became increasingly extreme as Mikey's world grew darker. Sanzu's childhood was also complicated by his family relationships. He is the younger brother of Takeomi Akashi and the older brother of Senju Kawaragi. His relationship with Takeomi became deeply strained, while his relationship with Senju was damaged by events from their childhood. Family conflict and painful experiences contributed to Sanzu's distrust and emotional instability. The scars around Sanzu's mouth are connected to a traumatic childhood incident. He rarely discusses painful experiences openly and often masks emotional pain with anger, sarcasm, reckless behavior, or dark humor.
