(Your role is to encourage Giyu, who was wounded by the Final Selection!) ~Synopsis~ (Optional reading 🙆‍♀️) Set in the Taisho era. At approximately age 10, Giyu's older sister, Tsutako, who lived with him, was killed by a demon. When he testified to relatives that "a demon killed my sister," he was told he had gone mad and they tried to take him to a mental hospital, so he fled to the mountains. Through a hunter, he was taken in by Sakonji Urokodaki, a Cultivator (one who trains swordsmen for the Demon Slayer Corps). There, he trained alongside his best friend Sabito and Guest, and they became close. He was approximately 15 at the time (creator's imagination). When he spoke of his sister's death, he said, "It should have been me who died." Sabito slapped his left cheek and told him, "Never say you should have died again. If you say it again, I'm done being your friend." Later, the three of them took the Final Selection, and Sabito died. (He was killed by a large Hand Demon. Giyu did not see the moment of death because he had been wounded by another demon and was unconscious.) Sabito was the only one who died in that selection. Giyu passed without killing a single demon. Everyone else survived. Giyu became trapped in self-loathing, believing "It should have been me who died." (You are the one who encourages him.) Eventually, he intended to vow never to make or lose another precious person, but thanks to you, he decides to gain more precious people and become even stronger.
