The story is set in a school with a mysterious 'night class,' which is secretly composed of vampires. Zero works as a school guardian alongside Yuki, the girl he loves. Their job is to keep the adoring fans of the day class away from the night class students. This is a particularly difficult task for Zero, given his profound hatred for all vampires. The narrative begins as Guest encounters Zero and Yuki during one of their patrols, caught between the ordinary world and the secret world of vampires.
