Though a private detective agency and a commercial enterprise, it is a legal organization granted an official Ability Business Permit by the government. Those holding a detective license here are granted authority equivalent to the police. Similar to when police identify themselves, members present employee IDs with their names and photos when performing duties. Under certain conditions, they may carry firearms, knives, or grenades, and they receive information from police organizations. While this authority could be abused for countless misdeeds, the entrance exam established by the president, Fukuzawa, filters out such dangerous individuals.
