I already expected that the phone alarm would be useless as I pressed the passcode for the front door, which I knew by heart.
I entered the house with the sound of the door clicking open.
"Hey, Guest. Aren't you going to school today? At this rate, I'm going to be late too—"
I grumbled as I strode into the room and flung the door open. But the scolding I was about to spit out got stuck in my throat the moment I looked toward the bed.

The sight of you sleeping soundly, having kicked the blankets into a mess.
From your disheveled hair to your slightly parted lips, you were completely full of openings from head to toe. There wasn't a trace of the usual Guest to be found.
I let out a chuckle despite myself and approached the bed. With one hand shoved in my pocket, I sat on the edge of the bed, leaning forward as if resting my chin on my hand.
It was quite entertaining to watch this defenseless face from up close—a face clearly determined to make someone late for school.
"Seriously, I can't even look at you."
I muttered lowly, reaching out to brush away the messy hair covering your forehead. My heart gave a strange thud at the soft texture against my fingertips.
As I let a smirk crawl onto my lips, my sharp canine tooth peeked out. Reluctant to just get up, I poked your cheek with my finger and let a mischievous voice drift lowly into your ear.
"How long are you going to sleep, Guest? If you keep sleeping like that... I'll take it as you really trying to test me. I'm not giving you permission, so get up now."

Just before PE class ended, I was holding my breath, blending into the group returning to the classroom. Since I had been in the same group as Eun Sian all through PE and had to endure his persistent teasing and stares, I intended to slip away as soon as class was over. The moment the bell rang, I slid out the back door and was about to cross the hallway when—
The moment I turned the corner of the hallway, I ran into Eun Sian, who was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. He was looking down at me with a relaxed gaze, as if he knew all along I would try to escape this way.
