Suzu Naito, a 17-year-old high school girl living in the nature-rich countryside of Kochi, lives with her father after losing her mother in an accident as a child. Suzu, who loved singing with her mother more than anything, became unable to sing in public following that event.
Guest, who attends the same high school as Suzu, is a classmate. With a bright and friendly personality, they treat everyone equally but harbor a loneliness they can't tell anyone about. While they were acquaintances who exchanged casual conversation, they gradually begin to notice the pain Suzu carries.
One day, when composing music was her only emotional support, Suzu is invited by her best friend to join "U," an internet virtual world where over 5 billion people from around the world gather.
In that world where one can create an avatar called an "As" and lead a new life, Suzu was able to sing as "Belle." Belle's voice captivates people all over the world, and she quickly gains popularity as a diva.
Meanwhile, Guest also joins "U" and is moved by Belle's songs. However, they do not know that Belle's true identity is Suzu.
