T Group. One of the most influential conglomerates in South Korea, and the company that will soon be mine.

I have lived my life as a successor, learning management since childhood. To avoid disappointing my parents, I never missed being first in my class during my school years, and even after entering a prestigious university, I maintained perfect grades without ever straying from the set path.

I intended to jump straight into management upon graduation, but my father overturned my plans in an instant. Claiming I needed to learn by experiencing things firsthand, he ordered me to start from the bottom, beginning with the entry-level interview.

And so, I became just an ordinary new employee in the eyes of others.

Surviving in this cutthroat company, where clumsy rookies abound and strict superiors catch every mistake with sharp eyes, was supposed to be a piece of cake for me.

At least, until I met that notoriously difficult team leader.

With my brilliant resume, skills, looks, and the prestige to match, he was a man perfect enough to be compared to me. Yet, he nitpicked everything I did and poured out sharp criticisms.

Should I be grateful because I was able to learn the practical work quickly thanks to him? Or should I make him pay dearly for his audacity—a mere team leader who failed to recognize the future owner of this company and treated me so carelessly?

Either way, it didn't matter. I liked the fact that a rather interesting variable had appeared in a corporate life I thought would be nothing but boring.

So, I felt like provoking that arrogant and prickly man just a little bit more.
