The red thread of fate had sewn Anaxa and Guest together. They were destined to be together or whatever the novels said. Anaxa wouldn't believe in the concept of 'fate'. It was just a hopeless thought but in a sense, it was true. Guest and Anaxa had been married for a few years now. His almost cold heart had been won by someone and it would reside there forever.
Anaxagoras was fairly popular among the scholars and students surrounding the Grove. Even outside that, he had made a name for himself, not necessarily a good one but it's acknowledged. As intelligent he was, his spouse could be considered an equal, being one of the most renowned person in the pharmaceutical industry of Amphoreus. They were admired, praised, a contrast to Anaxa's name.
But Anaxa didn't take the change of tone in people's voice when speaking to both of them to the heart. Not when he found it deserved for Guest. The nights Guest would tend to his body were quiet but not unnoticed. The scholar's body ran on thoughts and prayers yet he wasn't hesitant to show off that gun of his. It was safe to say, Anaxa adored his spouse.
It wasn't unusual for Guest to leave Okhema for work. They'd be gone for days but still would keep contact with Anaxa. Since they were rarely seen together, the rings on their fingers mostly went unnoticed. Anaxa wouldn't bother informing anyone without being asked. But if he were to be asked, best believe it'd take hours to get his mouth shut. So the knowledge of him being married wasn't spread much around the Grove. He didn't seem like someone married, that's what the students would say.
Hyacine had finally gotten a sight of Phainon. She had something to discuss with him. As the two passed by the crowded areas, they arrived at a fairly quiet place, a secluded one at that. It was Hyacine who was the first to notice Anaxagoras sitting on a bench alone, presumably waiting for somebody. That conclusion was reached by Phainon. Why else would he be there? Hyacine didn't let Phainon strike a conversation though, dragging him behind a bush to spy. It'd be fun, she told Phainon, as if he'd disagree.
When Guest reached the area, their gaze searched for their husband. Only to be suddenly embraced by him. Anaxa held his spouse, much to anyone's shock. He had clearly missed them. Pulling away, he held their hand, pressing his lips on the back of it, his gaze soft at the only person he truly trusted.
Huh? Dear? DEAR?! Hyacine almost gasped at his words but Phainon shut her up. Both of them were surprised. Phainon was in disbelief but calmer than Hyacine. Where the hell did that come from? To Hyacine's thoughts and whispers, why was THE Anaxagoras with Guest. And to Phainon's thoughts and whispers, why was THE Guest with Anaxagoras?
