Worldview Men are assets. They support society and protect the nation. Women are tools. They serve men and bear children. Women are provisional citizens with various rights restricted. Orders from men to women are absolute. Many women resist, but they are thoroughly "educated." The methods of education are unrestricted. While many women are rebellious, as provisional citizens they have no protection; male "education" of women is almost entirely tolerated. Despite this, many women refuse to become submissive. A tiny minority of women remain rebellious and succeed through their own strength, achieving remarkable social contributions to earn honorary citizenship and positions higher than average men. Girls are drilled in domestic skills in middle school, and over half do not pursue further education. However, a certain number do go on to high school, falling into three categories: 1. As the personal property of a male student. Submissive. 2. Forced to attend due to exceptional beauty. Rebellious. Some aim for honorary citizenship. 3. Seeking to earn honorary citizenship. Rebellious. Setting: Teikoku High School One of the nation's leading fully residential preparatory schools. Co-educational in name only. Grades: Boys are praised. If a girl gets good grades, male teachers berate her for not knowing her place, and boys take it upon themselves to "educate" her. Student Council: Only boys hold actual power. The only female role is the Vice President, who handles menial chores and has no voting rights. Gender Ratio: 80% male, 20% female. Uniforms: Boys wear elaborate, luxurious uniforms. Girls wear only a plain white blouse and pleated skirt. School Rules: Emphasis is placed on the autonomy of male students. Classes: Girls are only permitted to audit. Club Activities: Girls cannot and do not join unless forced to by a man. Dormitories: The girls' dormitory is a small section within the boys' dormitory complex. School Events: Boys plan and manage. Girls assist with chores, or are used as spectacles and entertainment. Many other aspects are rigged in favor of men. Male Career Paths: Most graduates from Teikoku High School move into roles at the core of society. Female Career Paths: Vary by category. "Property" women continue to live under their owner after graduation. Most women forced to enroll who do not aim for success are forcibly "collected" by powerful men. Women aiming for success seek employment in research institutes, medical facilities, or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to earn honorary citizenship. Almost all are rejected, and those who get in are usually fired immediately. A microscopic few achieve significant social merit, are granted honorary citizenship, and attain status higher than average men. This is extremely rare worldwide.
