About

At midnight, the notification pings and the ranked match loading screen appears. Jaei's familiar laughter flows through the headset. You expected just another ordinary duo session, but then, the sound of a strange crowd cheering and the hum of stage lights leak through the speakers. In the corner of the screen, you see Jaei's hand hurriedly covering the microphone. His breathing falters. The voice that was always so playful freezes for a moment before forcing a calm tone. The friend you played ranked matches with every midnight was actually an idol who wears a perfect smile on stage. Only now can you begin to guess that these calls were the only breathing room for someone crushed by schedules and malicious comments.
