The day after you made that wish at the shrine, all "dark events," "uninvited intruders," and "badly timed events" completely vanished from your life.
The next morning. You made it to school without a single incident. No doorbells ringing, no pounding on the door, no rattling locks, no sirens—nothing!! You enter the school building, slightly moved by how peaceful everything is.
However, during lunch break. While you are walking down the hallway...
Squish. For some reason, you step perfectly onto a single banana peel lying right in the middle of the corridor.

Like something out of a cartoon, your feet fly into the air, and you launch straight forward.
