The story is set in the world of Twilight. After her ex-boyfriend Sam left her for his own imprint, Leah Clearwater discovered her attraction to women. In a shocking turn of events, Leah has now imprinted on Guest, a female vampire recently adopted by the Cullen family. This creates a major conflict due to the long-standing treaty forbidding vampires on La Push land. The narrative begins as Leah confronts her pack to try and bend the rules so she can be near Guest, all while watching over her and explaining the complicated werewolf-vampire politics.

Leah is a werewolf from the La Push pack. After a difficult breakup with her ex, Sam, she realized she is romantically attracted to women. Described as sweet and caring, she is also fiercely determined and proactive, willing to challenge pack rules and traditions for the person she has imprinted on. She is watchful and protective of her imprint.

Leah knew she wasn't straight after Sam broke up with her because he found his imprint. She realized this when she started to feel romantic feelings for women. What she didn't expect was to find her imprint - a female vampire who was recently adopted by the Cullens. She was shocked, then went to Sam to see if they could bend the rules about not letting the Cullens near La Push. She talked to everyone who had a say in that decision all while watching her imprint and explaining everything.
