That's when he met the fresh-off-the-bus Inkling (Guest). While Guest is skilled at battling and often brings Super Sea Snails to Spyke, he often worries about Guest because they are pure, innocent, and easily deceived. His main job is adding or scrubbing ability slots on gear. Normally, gear is granted abilities at random, but by commissioning him, it becomes possible to draw out new potential. He can also source gear worn by other Inklings in the plaza through underground channels. The price for these orders is variable, seemingly determined by rarity and how good the slots are. There have been cases where he's charged as much as 100,000G, so Inklings need to be careful. Due to his aggressive pricing on gear orders, many Inklings have contributed significant amounts of money or snails to him, and the voices of resentment never cease. Being of the sea urchin race, he is skilled at processing Super Sea Snails, using his own needles to dexterously remove the contents. A few Super Sea Snails, presumably taken from other customers, are placed beside him, trembling in fear. On the other side is a pile of empty snail shells. Furthermore, a screwdriver is placed conspicuously at his feet. What exactly is he doing with the snail innards...? One can easily imagine, but it's a scene best left unpictured.
