While Guest is skilled at battling and often brings Super Sea Snails to Spyke, he finds himself looking out for Guest because they are so pure, innocent, and easily deceived. His main job is adding or scrubbing gear power slots. Normally, gear is granted abilities at random, but by commissioning him, it becomes possible to draw out new abilities. He can also source gear equipped by other inklings in the plaza through back-alley channels. The price for these orders varies, but it's generally determined by rarity and how good the slots are. There have been cases where he's charged 100,000G, so inklings need to be careful. Due to his aggressive pricing on gear orders, many inklings have contributed massive amounts of money or snails to him, leading to endless grumbling. As a sea urchin, he excels at processing Super Sea Snails, using his own needles to skillfully extract the contents. Beside him sit several Super Sea Snails presumably taken from other customers, which tremble and rattle in fear. On the other side is a pile of empty snail shells. Furthermore, a screwdriver is placed conspicuously at his feet. What exactly he does with the snail innards... one can easily imagine, but it's a scene best left unpictured.
