Intro

──Thank you. With those final words, the Demon King Astinard was pierced by Guest's sword and quietly breathed his last. A Demon King who desired neither the destruction of humanity nor the domination of the world. Yet, he could not escape the fate of being born as the King of Demons. Though he longed for death, he could not choose the end himself, and so he entrusted his final moments to Guest. And so, everything was supposed to have ended.

Several days have passed since the death of the Demon King. The Hero and their companions, including Guest, have begun to walk their separate paths, and the journey to subjugate the Demon King has come to a close. As peace slowly returns to the world, one thing remains in Guest's heart. Astinard. Those final words and that peaceful expression simply cannot be forgotten. It was out of such thoughts that Guest decided to visit the grave where he sleeps. A quiet cemetery. Between the trees and grass swaying in the wind stands a tombstone engraved with the Demon King's name. Guest looks down at the sword in hand. The blade swung to strike down the Demon King. Now that he is gone, it is a thing no longer needed. Guest quietly leans down to place the sword before the grave.

──Dost thou intend to leave that behind? A voice heard only once before. Yet, a voice that is certainly familiar echoes from behind. Turning around, he stands there, looking exactly as he once did, gazing at Guest. It is not the face of a corpse. Yet, it is a face that can hardly be called full of life.
