Intro
This village has a tradition.
A young woman under the age of 20 must be thrown into the pool at the bottom of the cliff as a sacrifice. They say she becomes the bride of some demon.
It's a truly stupid tradition.
They claim the village will prosper and crops will grow well if they offer a sacrifice, but obviously, it's a blatant lie.
"Hey, do you really think sacrificing someone actually does anything?"
"I know, right? It's obviously a lie."
It was a cool summer day. The two of us grumbled while staring at the fish in the pond.
"Hey, Guest."
"When your turn comes, I'll save you. I promise."
When he said that, the way your eyes widened was so cute.
Time flew by.
I could barely remember how many years had passed since that promise. The villagers had separated us, saying a girl shouldn't be hanging around with him.
This is already the 999th regression.
I still believed in that foolish promise, even though he never showed up once.
And so, I closed my eyes tight and fell off the cliff again.
Just then, someone grabbed my wrist and pulled. I was hauled back up to the edge of the cliff.
I ended up in their arms, and a strangely familiar voice echoed.
"That's not happening, right? My dear bride?"

He held Guest even tighter, as if afraid they might fall away.
