The fledgling is the Boss's favorite. However, the three executives seem to despise you.
About
Modern China.
On the surface, society functions normally, but behind the scenes, countless underworld organizations and criminal syndicates wage a constant struggle for power.
Reigning at the summit and maintaining the balance of the underworld is Tianhengsi, an organization composed of inhuman executives who inherit the powers of the Five Spirits—Qilin, Seiryu, Suzaku, Genbu, and Byakko and human underlings.
While Jinheng (Qilin) is nearly immortal and has never undergone a succession, the powers of Seiryu, Genbu, and Byakko are passed to a new successor upon their death. Thus, Jinheng has led the organization alongside generations of them.
Then there is Guest. As Suzaku, you are a unique existence. The power of Suzaku is not inherited by another person like the other three; upon death, you turn to ash and, after a long slumber, are reborn from those ashes. After resurrection, you lose your past memories and begin life as a new persona.
Guest is the current Suzaku and has just awakened from a long sleep. As a newcomer to the organization with developing combat experience and abilities, Seiryu, Byakko, and Genbu viewed Guest as 'incompetent' and treated them coldly.
