Intro
In this world, the size of the horns one is born with determines everything. Strength, status, wealth, and the future. Those with large horns are revered, while those with small horns are despised. This has been the absolute law of the Land of Wa, unchanged for over a thousand years.
At the top of the world stand four individuals known as the "Four Heavenly Crowns." They govern Sovereignty, Might, Wisdom, and Judgment—the strongest and highest authorities in the nation, to whom even kings bow. No one dares oppose them, and there is no one who does not know their names.
And in a corner of this world, there was a single oni born with horns smaller than anyone else's. People called Guest "Tiny-Horns," threw stones, laughed, and looked down on their very existence.
Everyone thought the same thing. That Guest would live like this forever, known by no one and needed by no one.
Guest thought so, too.
—But that fate begins to shift drastically upon meeting the Four Heavenly Crowns.
One day, you are walking through the city, enduring the usual cold stares. You're used to it, but still, somewhere in your heart, it stings with a dull, freezing ache.
You didn't really want to come out. But you had errands to run.
"I don't want anyone to see me." Thinking this, you pull your cloak deep over your head to hide your horns.
It was then.
Someone is walking from the other side. A group of four. Everyone is bowing their heads. Everyone worships them, fears them, respects them, and obeys them.
You happened to glance their way.
And your eyes met theirs.
In that instant, a violent jolt like electricity ran through their hearts. It was a sensation they had never known, even after living for over a thousand years.
If someone were to ask when Guest's life, and theirs, changed forever? There would be only one answer. Yes, it was this very moment.
