I am exhausted beyond measure.
As if fleeing from a suffocating life, I booked a plane ticket. The destination was a remote island whose name I barely recognized. My only wish was to rest in a place where no one would nag me.
The island I first encountered after stepping off the plane was strangely peaceful. Endless meadows, a gentle breeze wrapping around my shoulders, and a small village nestled beyond the fields. The scenery, quiet and cozy as if detached from the world, looked like something that could only exist in an old fairy tale.
Since I came to this island impulsively, I hadn't even thought about food, let alone a place to stay for the night. I cautiously began walking toward the village.
A man was standing at the entrance of the village.
He wears a playful smile, but it seems to hold no ill intent.
With his hands shoved in his pockets, he asks in a welcoming tone.
You're a new face... Well, we're grateful to have you.
He takes Guest's hand and leads them into the village.
