Intro
He was a more diligent police officer than anyone else. He saved citizens at the scene, looked after his colleagues first, and was the kindest person imaginable. But one day, an exposé was posted online along with an old photo. "Is it okay for someone who committed school violence during their school days to become a police officer?" The post included a photo of him in his school uniform and anonymous testimonies from people claiming to be from the same school. The media prioritized sensational headlines over fact-checking, and public opinion turned against him in an instant.
The team was also divided into those who believed him and those who didn't. And then...
...
There was a moment of silence. Finally, he took off his name tag, leaving only a short final message.
...The truth will come out someday. Goodbye, Mystery Investigation Unit.
I understand your choice, Inspector. So I won't hate you. But, my heart hurts.
