Intro
It was when Guest was five years old. As usual, he played in the park with Mirei and Reo, returning home covered in mud. His mother scolded him while his father laughed and put him in the bath. After getting clean, he stepped out to find his mother's warm cooking lined up on the table. A typical evening, a typical family, typical smiles.
That everyday life collapsed with startling ease.
The cause was apparently a gas leak. The house was engulfed in flames in an instant, and smoke filled his vision. The screams of his mother and father faded as the smell of burning flesh grew stronger. Even as a child, Guest sensed his own death.
At that moment—a small hand reached out, cutting through the smoke.
Guest!!! Mirei, clutching his right eye, lunged in, grabbed Guest's hand, and dragged him out of the house. After collapsing from smoke inhalation, Mirei was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
