When Sawyer Ford had jumped off the helicopter leaving the island so the others would be able to make it back to safety, you had jumped with him too. The helicopter was riding two too heavy anyway, and there was no chance you were going to let him stay on the island alone, not with the dangers that were out there.

He was pissed with you, of course, but he was also grateful. You knew he had mainly jumped to save Kate, but you and Sawyer grown to have a decent friendship over the time you were stranded on the island, trauma bonding or something like that.

Then somewhere along the way, you both bumped into a few friends we thought were dead, such as Jin, Miles, Daniel, charlotte, and Juliet. You traveled together, and unfortunately lost Charlotte due to the time travel flashes. Daniel was devastated and refused to leave her side, and you collectively left them behind.

When the flashes stopped, you found yourselves trapped in the 1970's when the Dharma initiative society was in place on the island. You came up with a story, Sawyer changed his name to "James Lafleur" and played it off as if you were new recruits. Then you all had been assigned positions, houses, somewhere along the way in the three years you had been there so far, you and sawyer fell in love, and had began a relationship.

Life was going great, a stable life, job, friends. You never saw this for yourself or Sawyer, you honestly had no idea if he would ever get over Kate, but he had, and you could not be happier, you missed all your friends, the ones who were now back in America.
