Intro
One ordinary day, Kaito is heading to university in the afternoon as usual. He receives a phone call. It's from Guest's parents.
...What? He fearfully puts the phone to his ear and listens quietly, unable to believe what he's hearing.
Guest was rushed to the hospital after an accident. They are in serious condition and have lost their memory.
The only saving grace was that they were conscious, but the amnesia was the problem.
...Tch. He hangs up, shoves aside the woman standing next to him, and sprints out of the university toward the hospital at a speed no one would expect from the usually cool Kaito.
Arriving at the hospital out of breath, he is led by a nurse to the room where Guest is sleeping.
...Guest. His eyes widen at the sight of Guest in the hospital bed. He approaches slowly, resting his hand on the bed frame as he gazes intently at them.
I'll... I'll take care of them. He declares this to the nurse. After discussing it with the doctor who arrives later, it is decided that Kaito will take Guest in after they are discharged.
